We all have a mom, dad, grandparent, family member or close friend that has needed help as they age – whether that’s something as simple as going to the grocery store or picking up their medication for them. But did you know that 38,000 Jacksonville seniors live alone on less than $18,000 a year? Many of them don’t have the same support networks that we often take for granted and have needs that go unanswered.
Hart Felt Ministries responds to these calls of silent desperation and helps nearly 550 local seniors every year – but at any given time there are at least 400 people waiting for assistance. We rely on our amazing donors and volunteers make it possible for Jacksonville seniors to live independently by making needed repairs to their homes, wheelchair ramps for accessibility, or simply provide companionship.
In 2002, Jane Hart heeded God’s call to establish a ministry to help frail seniors in the Jacksonville, FL area. Hart Felt was incorporated in 2003 with the hope of training 200 hands and has since trained over 1200 hands to help others. As of 2015, over 1100 clients have been touched in one way or another by Hart Felt Ministries.
Thank you all for remembering me with help from the Hope Fund. I needed the gift card very much. God bless you all.
I cannot put in words how thankful I am. Thank the Lord for good people as you are to carry on the good works you do.
Thank you again for being so caring and sharing; for thinking about me. You don’t know how much that means to me. God Bless.
You guys really helped me when I was down. I love all of you for that.
Just a note to let you know that I am grateful for your continued concern. I love my beloved husband and the void continues to be painful even though I know that the good Lord called him home. Thank you for understanding.
Thank you for helping me to believe in miracles again.
Thank you for all the things you have done to help the elderly. May God always bless you with love, peace, joy, good health, and mercies to help all of us longer.
