Oftentimes, a series of events creates a domino effect that’s difficult to recover from without assistance. The Hart Fund offers a bridge of support to help seniors overcome an obstacle, ultimately helping them stay in their homes.

When Mr. Benjamin called us asking for help with his rent, he was distraught. He said that he'd been calling agencies for four days and no one would help him. His VA disability payments were reduced and he didn't know how he'd pay his rent. We paid it for him and he said, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don't know what it means to me what you guys are doing for me. God bless you all."

Mr. Michael was homeless and had been on the wait list for a HUD apartment for over 3 months. He got the call that his apartment was ready but needed help with the deposit and first month’s rent.

Ms. Connie had a major leak, resulting in a water bill that was more than $3,000! We dispatched a plumber to find and repair the leak and worked with the utility company to reduce the bill.

Ms. Linda’s hot water heater hasn’t worked in a while. She’s been heating water on the stove and carrying it into the bathroom to bathe. Snyder replaced her hot water heater and she said, “Oh thank you so much. Thank you, Jesus, now I’ll have hot water! May God shower blessings upon you.”
